A Benefit for Western Washington University’s Alumni Association Scholarship Endowment

ODESZA and Death Cab for Cutie have announced Double Major, a co-headline benefit show at Bellingham, Washington’s Civic Stadium.  The show is a homecoming for both bands, having formed in Bellingham when their members were students of Western Washington University.  In appreciation for the school and the city of Bellingham, net proceeds from the show will be donated to WWU’s Alumni Association Scholarship Endowment.

Doors Open: 4:00pm

Clear Bag Policy

Fans may carry only the following style and size bags, packages, or containers into Civic Stadium or when approaching queue lines of fans awaiting entry (an exception will be made for medically-necessary items after proper inspections):

  • Clear plastic/vinyl/PVC and not exceeding 12 in. x 6 in. x 12 in.

  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).

  • Small clutch bags that do not exceed 4.5 in x 6.5 in, with or without the handle or strap may be carried in along with a clear bag.


No Re-Entry

Re-entry is not allowed at this show. Once you exit Civic Stadium, you will not be allowed to re-enter.


ADA Seating

There will be ADA seating available in the south stands AND on the south track just in front of the stands. Please check in with the staff at the gates and they will assist on getting you to the seating area.


Getting to the Concert by Bus

WTA is running extra buses to the venue. Before the show, catch these routes to Civic Field Stadium: 190, 512, 525, 533 and 540.

After the show, catch Routes 190 or 512 on Puget Street, directly outside the main exit. This will be the only post-show pick-up location. Route 190 will return to WWU and Downtown via Lincoln Street, Bill McDonald Parkway, High Street, and Billy Frank Jr. Street. Route 512 will return to Downtown via Lakeway Drive and Holly Street. Routes 190 and 512 will be the only routes operating after the event.

Post-show, WTA will continue to run Route 190 and 512 until there are no longer passengers waiting for the bus. Each ride costs $1 cash. Exact change only. WTA will also accept all valid WTA bus passes.


Getting to the Concert by Rideshare

LYFT and UBER will be providing a dedicated drop-off and pick-up location at the Arne Hanna Aquatic Center parking lot located at 1114 Potter St, Bellingham, WA 98229. Please see the event map for the exact location.


Getting to the Concert on Foot

Double Major strongly suggests that all foot traffic enters the site from Lakeway Dr. & Puget St. or Fraser St. & Puget St.


Getting to the Concert by Bicycle

Bike parking will be located in the eastern section of the Civic Field lot, south of the stadium entrance.

Carpool Lot 1 (Civic Field Main Parking Lot) - Pre-Reserved Carpool Passes Only

Hours of Operation: 2:00pm to 11:59pm

NOTES: Guests who have purchased parking passes in advance will receive a scannable parking pass from Double Major to be scanned upon entry. The carpool pass purchaser’s ID will be required for entry to the lot, along with a minimum of 4 carpool passengers per vehicle. No vehicles will have access to these lots prior to 2:00pm on May 18, 2019. All vehicles must be cleared from this lot by 11:59pm following the event. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Carpool Lot 2 (Northern Most Civic Field Lot) - Pre-Reserved Carpool Passes Only

Hours of Operation: 2:00pm to 11:59pm

NOTES: Guests who have purchased parking passes in advance will receive a scannable parking pass from Double Major to be scanned upon entry. The carpool pass purchaser’s ID will be required for entry to the lot, along with a minimum of 4 carpool passengers per vehicle. No vehicles will have access to these lots prior to 2:00pm on May 18, 2019. Distance: 1 mile west of Civic Field.

The Commercial Street Parking Garage

Address: 1300 Commercial St, Bellingham, WA 98225

Distance: 1.5 mile west of Civic Field.

Notes: Lot is walking distance to/from Civic Field. Guests will be able to ride WTA buses from the Downtown station or to use a ride share service to the Parking Garage. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Parking passes and shuttle service to and from Civic Field are on sale through the WWU Alumni Association. Register at alumni.wwu.edu. Parking passes will be issued for each vehicle, and shuttle service will include all registered vehicle occupants. Before the concert, shuttle service will run from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Western Washington University 12A and C Lots, located on 450 S College Dr. These parking lots are 2 miles southwest of Civic Field. 


What can I bring?

All attendees will be subject to a search upon entry and prohibited items found inside the venue will be forfeited and not returned.

  • YES - Empty water bottles (non-glass only) and Camelbaks

  • YES - Up to two (2) 20oz sealed plastic water bottles

  • YES - Non-professional cameras (without a detachable lens)

  • YES - Umbrellas

  • YES - Small beach towels / small blankets

  • YES - Service animals

  • YES - Hula Hoops

  • YES - Prescription medication in properly labeled prescription bottles (must match your name on the bottle)


What can't I bring?

All guests will be subject to a search upon entry and prohibited items found inside the venue will be forfeited and not returned. Please look over the following and make sure to leave these things at home to ensure a smooth entry.

  • NO - Weapons of any kind

  • NO - Drugs, drug paraphernalia, or any other illegal substances

  • NO - Opaque bags (small clutch bags under 4.5” x 6.5” are OK)

  • NO - Glow sticks of any shape or size

  • NO - Lasers or laser pointers

  • NO - selfie sticks or totems

  • NO - Cameras with detachable lenses

  • NO - GoPros and other video cameras

  • NO - Chairs

  • NO - Tents

  • NO - Tailgating will not be allowed in parking lots or anywhere inside the venue

  • NO - Skateboards

  • NO - Projectiles, including balls and frisbees

  • NO - Fireworks

  • NO - Animals/pets, except service animals

  • NO - Alcohol

  • NO - Coolers or ice chests

  • NO - Glass bottles or glass of any kind

  • NO - Flasks or Bota bags

  • NO - Drones or other remote-controlled aircraft/toys

  • NO - Wagons or carts

  • NO - Over-the-counter medication

  • NO - Strollers


What if it rains?

The fun will go on RAIN OR SHINE!


How do I get in?

Box Office will open at 3pm, one hour prior to doors opening at 4pm. Tickets will be emailed to all patrons. Unless you have been directed to will call, your ticket will arrive via e-mail prior to the show.


Are there age restrictions for entry?

Children under 5 years old do not need a ticket to enter.


Are there age restrictions for beer gardens?

All guest must be 21 or older with valid ID to enter our beer gardens. Valid government issued identification is required for entry to beer garden areas. Passports will be required for any guest attending from outside the US or Canada.


What time do gates open?

Gates will open at 4pm. There will be two separate entry points for guests: Entry 1 for guests with SOUTH STANDS tickets & Entry 2 for guests with FIELD or NORTH STANDS tickets.


Will there be ATMs onsite?

There will be NO ATMs on site. The closest ATM will be located at the Citibank on Lakeway Dr. & Orleans St. or the KeyBank at Lakeway Dr. and Lincoln St.


Where are the bathrooms located?

There will be permanent toilets under the north and south stands and additional portable toilets along rear of the track on the eastern side of the field and in the northern beer garden.


What food options will be available?

Double Major will provide a number of food truck options in the northern field of the lot and the local Lions Club will be selling food in the south end of the field by the Grand Stand entrance.


Merchandise

Double Major will be selling artist merchandise in two locations: Behind the southern grandstands and at the center of the field.


Lost and Found

Double Major will have an info tent located near the main entry that will collect all lost and found items.
